FAQ

Are services covered under my insurance?

We are not in network providers with any major insurance company. Accepted forms of payment include cash, check, credit card, health savings account and flex spending account funds. We can submit your office visits to your personal injury and workers' compensation insurance if you've been injured in an automobile accident, slip and fall injury or an on the job injury.

How long are the office visits?

You can expect Dr. Gervais to visit with you to take an in depth history of your chief complaint followed by a movement assessment and physical examination to determine the source of your ailment followed by hands on treatment. The initial visit can range from 45-50 minutes and follow up visits are typically 15-20 minutes in length.

Can I exercise following treatment?

Depending on the type of treatment you've received, most of the time it is fine to exercise and continue being active. If your pain is too severe to exercise, please stop immediately. Pain is your signal that there is an issue to address in your body.

How many visits will I need?

The number of visits recommended will depend on the type of injury you've sustained, the severity of your injury, whether your injury is acute versus chronic or if you are being co-treated by another healthcare provider(s). Dr. Gervais will have a better idea of what recommendations will be best for your treatment following your consultation and physical examination.

Do I need x-rays or an MRI?

In most situations, we will typically order imaging such as x-rays or an MRI if there has been a known traumatic injury to rule out fractures or other various pathologies. We may also consider ordering imaging for any patient who is not showing signs of improvement in their condition following their course of treatment.

What is the missed appointment and cancellation policy?

Out of respect and consideration to Dr. Gervais, we kindly ask that you honor your scheduled appointment time. Please note that appointment space is limited daily and appointments are booked back to back. When your appointment is booked into our system, you will automatically receive multiple notification reminders about your upcoming appointment.

Arriving Late?

Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you.  Dr. Gervais will do his best to accommodate and honor your full scheduled time, but if you arrive late your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours.  Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session booked. Please plan accordingly. It is advisable to arrive approximately 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.

No-Shows?

Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their scheduled appointment time will be considered a “no-show”, and will be charged 100% of the fee for the “missed” appointment.  Gift Certificates/Barters will also be voided.
